4C Listen and Notice Musical Details and Time Recognition
In this test, listen to the music and notice:
- Dynamics (Loud or quiet playing).
- Articulation (Smooth or detached notes).
- Tempo (Any changes in speed).
- Tonality (Major or minor key).
- Musical Character (What features give the music its character).
You will be asked to listen especially to TWO of those elements of music - one will be Musical Character. It's a good idea to decide WHAT the Character is and then to work out WHY it sounds that way.
